[size=20px]涼風送青雲,乘願來觀音。眾生只要一心稱名,聞聲救苦的觀音菩薩便乘願而來。隨雲飄至,是眼前這尊饒宗頤教授所繪的白描觀音,莊嚴而雅緻,令觀者有「萬古長空,一朝風月」(註1) 之感。雖處處是佛法,眾生卻有見與不見,而佛與菩薩的福德皆不增不減。眼前這一幅饒公繪於1998年仿唐吳道子畫風的觀音像,古典而創新;欲與觀音菩薩相見印心,此畫堪為著力處。當下遇上這幅觀音畫像,到底是何因緣?她在文化藝術上有何象徵意義?對我們品格的提昇有何幫助?

青雲相送白觀音百歲饒宗頤教授,當代百科全書式大師,學藝雙攜,通古今中西。他備學問家的溫文儒雅,並兼藝術家的率真瀟灑。每次筆者有幸與他見面,待人和善的他都親切握手。我等後學,慶幸能親炙這神話級的大學問家,感受他的內在精神,就像他的手一樣,力大而溫暖。他手下的筆成書,把人類文明推進一步,與理想世界靠近;他手下的筆成畫,把人類善美提升一級,與光明淨好拉近。

筆者今年5月參訪敦煌,最後一站到西安碑林,見到傳以唐吳道子觀音菩薩像為本的石碑像,未有明證,仍堪歡喜,請回拓本一幅。在此敦煌之旅出發前,筆者為香港大學饒宗頤學術館舉辦的「筆底造化──饒宗頤教授繪畫展」設計海報,正是以饒公仿唐吳道子觀音像作主題,故份外覺得親切有緣。
在饒教授所繪的眾多佛菩薩畫像中,這幅觀音菩薩像較為特別。畫幅尺寸與西安碑刻的拓本近乎等大。饒公參用敦煌唐代白描法,彰顯唐代端莊渾厚的觀音像畫風,而觀音面相也如唐代菩薩大丈夫相的肅穆。(註2) 他繪這幅觀音畫像,尤重線條感,運用戰筆篆書繪畫菩薩身上的天衣,(註3) 令其更富抖動之態,表現出菩薩乘風屹立雲端的時空感。這幅觀音畫像,同時具備吳道子「吳帶當風」的瀟灑飄逸,及曹仲達「曹衣出水」的凝穩衣紋,糅合兩位繪佛菩薩畫像袓師的獨特手法,形成一種「天衣飛揚,畫中風動」的流動效果,(註4) 兩種風格相輝互映。

雖然吳道子的作品今已不存於世,然而,「吳帶當風」畫法還是可以從敦煌莫高窟的盛唐經變等作品中體會。中國書畫同源,唐人李陽冰創「[url=https://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%25E9%2590%25B5%25E7%25B7%259A%25E7%25AF%2586&action=edit&redlink=1]鐵線篆[/url]」,筆畫從頭至尾粗細一致。唐人近隸書,白描以小篆作筆法,線條平均,甚見畫者的定功。元代以後的白描以行草為筆法,頭重尾細。明、清人喜依唐人「吳帶當風」的衣褶,不見北朝「曹衣出水」的筆法。饒公承傳前人筆風,加以融會和創新,成為他特具一格的敦煌白描畫意之彩繪。
觀音,祂自己雖然早已達到《心經》中「心無掛礙」的覺悟境界,然而觀音是菩薩摩訶薩,具「無緣大慈,同體大悲」的精神,關心及發心救度仍在掙扎的娑婆眾生。菩薩以「上求佛道,下化眾生」為己任,廣度有情,故為「覺有情」。在漫長浩瀚的時空中,在此生此刻,十方人間
